Malnutrition and hunger are one of the biggest concerns in the Philippines. The pandemic has made this issue harder to address because of lockdowns and health risks. Our dealer, Toyota Camarines Sur, Inc., is conducting its yearly Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and for this quarter we chose to conduct a donation drive to Brgy. Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur for the second time last May 31, 2021.

Our main objective of this activity is to give assistance to the Senior Citizens of Brgy. Cadlan, Pili and provide them one of the basic goods which is rice.

We donated 20 sacks of rice and this time the beneficiaries were Senior Citizens. The activity was participated by approximately 100 senior citizens with the help of Barangay Captain Walden Bruzas, together with the Barangay councilors and its volunteers.

One challenge we encountered during this activity was the safety of the Senior Citizens because of the current pandemic. Also, the observance of protocols like distancing and wearing of face masks and shields at all times were considered as well.
